All That Matters

I feel like my house is a mess, and that there will never be an end to the laundry that needs to be done. The dishwasher needs to be unloaded and loaded again. I have bags to pack for our Thanksgiving trip, the rest of my Christmas shopping to finish, and at least 10 other things that I need to be doing rolling around in my head at any one time. And I'd be lying if I said that all of this doesn't stress me out somewhat, but when I sit still long enough to really reflect on my daily life and all of that "stuff," I realize that all that really matters at the end of the day is this:

And I have to tell you that next week, my house will most likely still be a mess, laundry will still need to be done, the bags from our trip will probably still need to be unpacked and my Christmas shopping will still need to be done. But I can also tell you that I will have spent more time watching my children loving each other and enjoying my life.

*Yes, Melissa, those are your children in the background having their own "sibling moment." ;)
