2 Months, 5 days

My sweet baby girl ~

You turned 2 months old this past Saturday. I know I've already said it at least 100 times, but I don't know where the time has gone. I am amazed at what you have accomplished in such a short time. In the past few weeks your personality has started to blossom. You love face-to-face interaction and are so willing to give your smiles away. And I have to tell you, it's a beautiful smile. One that can melt my heart and make any day better in an instant. In the past week you've also started to find your voice. I will do anything just to try and get you to "ooh" or "aah" at me, and after looking at me like I've completely lost it, you usually do. You are trying so hard to figure out how to laugh. Right now all you can do is inhale really quickly, so it sounds more like a shriek than a laugh, but you're close.

You have really started to notice your brother. You watch his every move and track him as he whirls around the room, which is no easy feat. And he, in return, adores you for it.

Gray loves taking care of you, and is very quick to try and calm you down when you are upset. Sometimes when you cry in the car I can hear Gray quietly telling you "It's okay baby girl. Don't cry." He loves to sing to you and is convinced that it's the one things that makes you stop crying every time.

I know there are going to be moments when your brother makes you more upset than you knew you could be, but remember this sweet girl, your brother loves you.

You also celebrated your first Halloween this past month. I know that doesn't mean much to you, but I loved putting you in your little ladybug costume and walking you around the neighborhood. When we were back at the house passing out candy a mom commented to me that I had gotten the best "treat" of all, and I couldn't agree more. Your brother, and daddy, and I are all enjoying you so much. We are loving every milestone, big and small, and can't wait to see what you have in store for us next month. We love you, Peanut.
