On a gorgeous, sunny November day...

...our family headed to one of our favorite places to visit this time of year. The weather was absolutely perfect - no bulky winter coats needed!

We parked our car and headed out in the search for the perfect tree.

We ran around

and played hide-and-seek

before we chose just the right one.

Nate got the kids in a huddle for a quick "Christmas Tree!,"
before the "tree guys" came to cut our tree down,
and load it into the back of their truck.

We drove back up to the barn where our tree was trimmed to just the right height,

shaken out,

and bundled up

before my strapping husband loaded it into our car.

After all that hard work, we helped ourselves to some yummy popcorn
and let Scarlett have her first taste of hot chocolate.
