10 Months

At 10 months, Scarlett is a monkey. She has turned into quite the climber and has no fear about it what-so-ever. If our backs are turned for a single minute, she is up on the train table or the kids-sized chairs or table. When Grayson pulled the cushions off of our love seat to make a fort one day, we realized that Scarlett could climb up onto the love seat. It is now one of her favorite things to do and she will walk or crawl from one end to the other and climb up and down to her heart's content.

This past month she has taken her first unassisted steps, gotten her first tooth, signed milk and more, had her first trip to the beach, swam in Grandpa and Abi's lake, and stolen our hearts over and over. One of mommy and daddy's favorite times of day with Scarlett right now is bedtime. She will finally sit through 2-3 books and knows what to expect when we pull them out. She lets us rock her for a minute or two, and then, when we lay her down, quickly cuddles up with her blanky and waits for her back to be rubbed for a few seconds. We really wish we could capture the whole process on video, but I'm guessing things wouldn't go quite as smoothly with a videographer in the room.

Monkey girl for sure! I know what you mean about wanting to capture those special bedtime moments on video.

Love it! Marisa climbed into the dishwasher at Kevin's Dad's house and she too is much more of a dare devil that Matthew ever was climbing on to and into everything imaginable. SCARY!

A TOOTH!!!! YEAH!
