Despite some really nasty, rainy weather, we toughed it out and made it to the 4th of July parade downtown on Friday. 
It was amazing to me what a difference a year (and some ear plugs) made for Grayson. He was excited to stand out on the curb and wave as all of the police cars and fire trucks drove by, sirens wailing. He loved seeing the tractors and dump trucks, and most of all, the motorcycles.
After changing into some much needed dry clothes and taking naps, we headed over to our good friends' house for a cook-out. Grayson had a great time playing with his friends and roasting his own marshmallow for the very first time.
And of course, eating the yummy S'mores that followed. ;)

It looks like you guys had SO much fun...well, except for the rainy parade but I love that picture!
