My Favorite Part of The Day

With our air conditioning out for the better part of the past week and a half, our "routines" became anything but routine. As soon as we were done working for the day, we would scurry off to whatever restaurant sounded good to bask in the cool air, and stayed out as long as we could manage before returning to quickly get Gray in bed so that Nate and I could go back to sitting in front of a fan. With the return of our nice cool house yesterday, we were finally able to get back into the swing of things. We took our time eating dinner at home, playing outside, and finally getting ready for bed. And since we were finally cooler we were able to get back to our leisurely bed time routine of reading books in mom and dad's bedroom, something Grayson has come to love. Over the past month or 2, Gray has added a new element to this by "listening" to the baby's heart beat and "communicating" with his sister as only he can. Take a peek at what has very quickly become my absolute favorite part of the day.

Oh, and try to ignore the messy bedroom and not so firm tummy. ;)
