Stickin' It To The Man

Last night as we were sitting around the coffee table eating pizza while watching the Superbowl. Grayson jupmed up to go grab a toy and since he hadn't wiped his hands off yet and was still in the process of eating, I told him to stop. He decided to ignore me and picked up his basketball at which point Nate told him to put it down and stop what he was doing. Nate finally picked him up and brought him back to the table where we tried to explain to him why we told him to stop picking up his toys. Just as Nate asked him if he understood why he shouldn't leave the table with dirty hands, Gray picks up a piece of his breadstick and pops it in his mouth. Nate asked him again if he understood, and Grayson looked up at him calmly, pointed to his mouth and said, "Food in my mouth." Or in other words, "I'm sorry, did you want me to answer you right now? Well tough beans, Dad. You told me I can't talk with food in my mouth, so there!" Out witted by a 2 1/2 year old again!

Oh no! Well, at least you know now that he understands the no talking with food in his mouth lesson. He may have outsmarted you this time but he showed his hand so you'll have a leg up in the next match!

Melissa ~ Thanks! I thought I would try something new. I'm not too sure about it yet, but I'm hoping it will grow on me! ;)
