We made it!!

Just thought I would let everyone know that we made to sunny CA. The trip here was awesome considering that we spent about 5 1/2 hours on a plane. Grayson was excellent and really surprised Nate and I both at how well he did. In fact, the worst part of the trip for him so far has been the shuttle bus from the parking lot to the Indy airport. I have no idea why, but for some reason he was really afraid of the bus.

Getting our bags checked was a piece of cake once we figured out how to get a 2 yr. old, stroller, car seat, 3 suit cases, and a golf bag inside (don't ask!). Grayson was fine getting on the plane once he realized that he would be sitting in his car seat (thank you Melissa!). The ride was fun and uneventful, which was good. Gray stayed awake the entire time and still remained in good humor, which is a mystery to me and has yet to have a melt down. But you know what? As good as things went yesterday, I welcome him to have a melt down. I mean if I can handle a toddler, all that luggage, navigating an airport, 2 airplanes, and the California free-way, then surely I can handle a 2 yr. old's melt down. Right? :)

Yeah! I was just thinking about you guys this morning and how the trip went. Kids are so surprising in these situations! Likely, I think that we prepare more for things when nothing happens and of course when we are unprepared to deal with things that is when all hell breaks loose!

GL with the traffic - biggest reason I would not want to move back there!

Have fun!!!

GREAT news! I'm so glad the trip went well for you all! I won't mention the funny image I have in my mind of you, the luggage, the car seat, stroller, golf clubs, GRAY, his blankie, your purse, and Nate all trekking across America. Oops, I mentioned it didn't I? ;) I know you guys are having a great time! I can't wait to see pics and hear stories! Miss ya!!!!
