He's His Daddy's Boy

Grayson is into all things sports, and I do mean ALL. I don't think there is a sport my son doesn't like and I have enough balls in my house to prove it. Baseballs, basketballs, tennis balls, footballs, golf balls, ping-pong balls, and even a hockey puck. Of course with all of these come the requisite bats, hoops, rackets, clubs, paddles, and sticks. And my son knows how to use them and use them well. I think Nate and I actually flinch every time Gray throws a ball to us, or hits a ball back to us, because he usually does it with pretty good accuracy (and even though we know this we are never quite prepared for the ball flying right back at us).

We were over at a friends house this evening and though Grayson found both golf clubs and hockey sticks to play with, he still needed his beloved baseball gear. So what did my smart little man do? He found the play food and discovered that a fake chicken leg looks remarkably similar to a bat and a wooden orange works quite well as a ball. How proud his daddy will be! ;)

I'm amazed at Grayson's skill with all things athletic! I'm pretty sure he has better aim with a bat and ball than I do!

Um, yeah, me too! He most definitely does not get his athletic abilities from me. ;)
