Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's On It's Way!

We started our Easter festivities with an egg hunt on Friday. The kids wore their rabbit ears for exactly 3.5 seconds, but it was long enough for me to snap a cute picture of each of them.

Scarlett LOVED the egg hunt. She knew exactly what to do and would run from egg to egg saying, "Nother one!" Gray staked out an area of the yard away from everyone else, picked it clean, and made out like a bandit.

We colored eggs Saturday evening, and I have to say it was the fastest egg coloring I have ever been a part of. We decided to only do 8 eggs since I would most likely be the only one to eat any of them. Gray dumped one in each color right away, stirred them a couple of times, and proclaimed them finished. Scarlett would have kept hers in the cup all day, but the way she was splashing the color around led to a quick finish.

The kids loved their Easter baskets this morning. They each got a new shirt, new shoes (to Scarlett's delight), socks, and 1 toy each. The had a great time hunting for the eggs the Easter bunny had hidden, giggling at the various hiding places. We made an Easter breakfast rather than a big dinner since it's just the 4 of us, and have been enjoying a lazy day at home as a family, a much needed day of regrouping.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Happy Spring!

You are brave for letting Scarlett color the eggs. We did them while Marisa napped! She helped put the stickers on them tho!?
