Calling All Super Moms!
Can somebody PLEASE tell me how to get dry-erase marker out of clothing???? My son loves using those nifty markers, but somehow always manages to get them on this clothes, clothes that still fit him that I refuse to throw away or put in the "only worn at home" pile. I have tried the "dry-erase-remover" stuff, as well as the Dreft spray, and neither one has done a bit of good. So help me out ladies (and Dan), before I ban these markers from my house forever!

Have you tried hairspray? It takes out ink pretty well. You have to spray it, rinse it, spray it again and you should be able to see the ink come out. I've never tried it with dry-erase marker though. Let me know when you figure it out...I'm sure I'll need to use the remedy at some point!
I am not sure if this will work on dry erase markers but I will scrub hard with a regular bar of soap (and a wash cloth of I really want to get in there..) and then spray LIBERALLY with Shout (the hard core Shout... it comes in a blue bottle that is all I know - tough stains formula?) Then I wash the item with some Clorox color safe bleach...
Also, if it is white those bleach pens are great because you can use them right on the stain and not have to bleach everything in sight.
This does not always work the 1st but I have found that if I wash the item and repeat this process 2 and even 3 times the stains will fade enough or go away entirely. Ah and can I just say I learned these "techniques" if you will from the issues my husband has with stains, not my son ;)
Try using a product called "Grease Lighting." It removes everything.
This is a friendly tip from your friends at GP-Chicago!! :)
I googled it, and it said to use Murphy's oil soap. I'm not sure where to find it, but it might work.
